Community Collaboration
The UVI Libraries and its community partners have been selected to receive a FY2021
National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. In 2021,
IMLS received 172 applications requesting over $47,000,000. Of these, they selected
39 projects to receive funding. The USVI Library/Community Collaboration: Training & Technology Innovations has been awarded over $240,000 in funding.
The USVI Library/Community Collaboration: Training & Technology Innovations will focus on developing technology skills for telehealth and information-seeking
skills through partnerships with community organizations. UVI librarians will develop
training materials while helpdesk technicians will support technology needs for our
partners and their members.
